DSLR Camera

Aperture settings:
2.8-22

Shutter Speed:
1-1/4000

ISO:
100-25600

ISO

Image result for ISO 200

1. With a higher ISO you get a higher shutter speed and it can freeze a picture and let in more light for the picture to look good.

2. You should always use the lowest ISO to retain the most detail and have the highest quality photo.

3.You should set your ISO higher if you are shooting somewhere dark or don't want to catch a blur.

  2. the smaller the Aperture the bigger area in focus. The larger the aperture the smaller area of focus.
It impacts the depth of field because it depends on how small and large your aperture is.

Photo Manipulation and Ethics

Image result for unethical photo manipulation

A.) what i read about was the history of manipulation of photos, some different examples of manipulation and why we use it.

B.) The philosophy of newspapers regarding image manipulation is that some newspapers edited people or things in the newspaper to get their point through better.

C.) I think some acceptable manipulation you can do images are hiding blemishes, thin the person up a little,  whiten their teeth, and maybe touch up their skin tone.

Image result for unethical photo manipulation

D.) This the most ethical example of manipulation because of the color because their distorting it too much just to make him look dark and mysterious.

E.) The photo next to it is an example of least unethical because i can see where the tattoo can distract from the cover page. But at least they put back the tattoo back on her story portion of the magazine.

Avoiding mergers (academic shoot)

Fills the frame

I think this is a interesting photo because theres alot of things going on.
This fills the frame because theres a lot of things going on in this photo.

Action

I think this is action shot because of the explosion in their science experiment.
I think this photo is simplicity because theres nothing else spectacular about this photo.

The best story

I think this one is the best story because it shows everyone coming together and interacting with one another.
It sorta follows leading lines because of the kids hands leading to the middle.

My four best photos (not really)

i used simplicity for the bowie bulldog.
On the one of the girl walking up the stairs i used leading lines because of the lights leading down the hall.

Reaction

After reading those articles i was shocked at what i read and saw, its crazy and very scary to see the way people took their lives because they had no choice. The pictures have are now and forever in my mind hoping that i never witness or experience that situation.
:(

Avoiding Mergers

This is a example of avoiding mergers because the colors do not blend in with the background since they are so bright.

Post Shoot reflection

  1. The challenges that I encountered was taking as good of photos as my peers.
  2. I tried to focus on getting a good focus on my subject and holding my camera at a good angle.
  3. Find better places to take my pictures.
  4. My techniques.
  5.
  6. Yeah i would because it lets my creativity go wild on finding specific things.
:)

Simplicity

This is a example of simplicity because it focuses on the man coughing.

Balance

This is a example of balance because all the colors are all in there own place and they dont blend.
