ANDRE KERTESZ  


Born: July 2, 1894 in Hungary
Died: September 28, 1985, in New York City

Andre was apart of a Jewish Family of his father Lipot Kertesz a bookseller and his mother Ernesztin Hoffmann. I could not find much his education but i found that he started out with a standard handheld camera. Around the same time he started out in photography in 1912 he took a job as a clerk at the Giro Bank of the Budapest Stock Exchange then he served in World War I in the Austro Hungrian army.
