Black&White photographers part 3

Nothing super in particular really caught my eye but i do like his weird pictures where their deformed it looks really cool to me

 

I see a forest of many mysteries. I can see that theres many hills to explore and have a good time observing.
I smell pines from the trees. I smell outdoors and nature from all its creatures roaming around. I smell lake water along the trees.
I hear birds chirping as they fly around. I hear trees rustling from the wind. I hear water splashing from the lake.
I taste lake water after swimming. I taste dust from the trees rustling the dust off. I taste bug flying in my teeth.
I feel like i could camp here. I feel dirty from swimming in the lake. I feel happy in such beautiful scenery.

I see a tall building near me. I see dirty puddle of water. I see myself not stepping in dirty water puddle.
I smell dirty water near me. I smell fumes from near by cars driving around the city.
I hear loud car driving by me. I hear dirty puddle splashing. I hear the building doors closing and opening.
I taste dirty puddle water splashing in my mouth. I taste car fumes blowing past.
I feel water splashing on me. I feel cars passing by me.


I would create alot of posters of my art and my photos to show to the world. I would actually like to create a poster to present my ideas out to my classmates instead of a powerpoint because powerpoints are boring.

Abandoned Amusement Parks

Takakanonuma Greenland, Hobara, Japan

The reason why i would go to Takakanonuma Greenland looking at those photos it just looks cool to me with the fog and the rides look fun. I would definitely take a camera and document the cool hills where a roller coaster ride sits and chill and look at the scenery. I would also walk across some of the rides if i could.

I think that would be a fun place to document because all the pictures ive seen they've all be cool visuals to me. The place interests me because ive never seen anything like that for real its crazy to me. The kind of photos i would expect would be the one below just foggy, and unreal looking but itll actually be real.

6.) It would take a plane ticket to Oregon first off, i would need a camera of course, also a good enough of money to stay somewhere and have necessities like food and etc. Ive looked around and everyone goes there a the only risk is falling in, alot of people say not to stand too close to the well.

My reaction to that article was surprised, i was surprised because i cant believe he took the time to observe those animals and their habitat. That would take alot for me to do that i would need some money for that, thats crazy. Overall though that is pretty cool and i like the way the photos came out.

3.) This is my favorite photo by him because the dust makes a cool cloud effect on the elephant and it turned out to be a cool visual.
4.) I think this rule could be simplicity or avoiding mergers because the could doesnt exactly blend in with the background but its very close.
5.) He photographed on medium-format black and white film without telephoto or zoom lenses. He used a Pentax 67II with only two fixed lenses. This is important because it helped create a combination of epic panoramas of animals within dramatic landscapes.
6.) He writes: "You wouldn't take a portrait of a human being from a hundred feet away and expect to capture their spirit; you'd move in close." My guess is because he wanted to capture the true personality of the animals.
7.) "What I am interested in is showing the animals simply in the state of Being. In the state of Being before they are no longer are. Before, in the wild at least, they cease to exist."
8.)I want to get a real sense of intimate connection with each of the animals - with that particular lion or elephant in front of me. I believe that being that close to the animal makes a huge difference in the photographers ability to reveal its personality. You wouldn't take a portrait of a human being from a hundred feet away and expect to capture their spirit; you'd move in close. - Nick Brandt 

Mural Project

1. At school we can do a flower theme to represent school beauty and off campus we can do a bowie football theme to sort of self promote us.
2. We should use phones because not everyone will get a camera and it will be less likely to loose your phone.
3. Either in front of the school or somewhere in the courtyard for everyone to see.

Great black & white photographers Part. 2

ANDRE KERTESZ  


Born: July 2, 1894 in Hungary
Died: September 28, 1985, in New York City

Andre was apart of a Jewish Family of his father Lipot Kertesz a bookseller and his mother Ernesztin Hoffmann. I could not find much his education but i found that he started out with a standard handheld camera. Around the same time he started out in photography in 1912 he took a job as a clerk at the Giro Bank of the Budapest Stock Exchange then he served in World War I in the Austro Hungrian army.

Academic Shoot reflection and critique

1. The challenges i faced was determining what subject should be apart of the photo and making sure i followed one of the rules of photography.
2. Mostly i think theres one or two pictures where i followed the rules but it isnt very clear what the subject.
3. I would choose a different class with more variety around the room because i chose a science there wasnt really much to take photos of.
4. I would follow the rules like i did on this assignment.
5. simplicity because its simple.
6. balance because it has to be the same amount of activity on both sides of the photo. Or avoiding mergers because you have to pay more attention of your surroundings.
7. I dont really have a rule that im confused about they're pretty easy to figure it out.
